The educational activities of the Department of Laboratory Sciences at the Faculty of Paramedicine dates back to 1365. However, at the end of the 1970s, a one-year interruption in the work of the group was initiated, but with the discretion of the vice chancellor of the university's teaching time and due to the need of students began to work again. The Department of Laboratory Sciences currently has 5 faculty members. Specialty courses in laboratory science include practical theoretical and practical microbiology, practical biochemistry, theoretical and practical hematology, theoretical and practical parasitology, theoretical and practical immunology, virology Theoretical and Practical Pathology, Theoretical and Practical Pathology, English Texts and Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Theoretical and Practical Toxicology, Principles of Maintenance and Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment, Theoretical and Practical Hormones, Laboratory Safety and Safety, Medical Genetics, Principles of Management and Laboratory rules, Theoretical and practical immunohytology, Theoretical and practical mycology, Seminar, Understanding of Internal Medicine, Clinical Laboratory quality control methods, quality control laboratory is taught.

Graduate students at the end of the lab science are studying in educational laboratories and educational hospitals affiliated to Tabriz University of medical sciences. Apprenticeship and internship education is provided in the form of justification at the beginning of the course and practical work in the field of education in the form of groups of 5 to 6 persons, supervised by faculty members and group experts. Student assessment is also organized and comprehensive (practical exam, review of reports).
The Department of Laboratory Sciences of Tabriz Paramedical School is currently ready to establish a master's degree program based on the number of scientific members and facilities available in the field of education. The group also intends to explore the possibility of establishing microbiology, undergraduate hematology, with due consideration of the courses in the university's medical faculty from a legal perspective.
